Note : the best months to see the rice terraces in Yuanyang and Jinping is in December to March in the next year . Because the rice paddy is full of the water reflected the clouds and blue sky . There is no rain in these seasons .
Day 1 : Kunming ( D. )
Arrival at Kunming airport . ( Spring City ) 1896 m, the capital of Yunnan Province , the gate of China to South East Asia . The trade to Burma , Thailand and Vietnam is very flourishing . As its climate is nice all over the year , Kunming is also famous for is various of flowers .
Visit Bird & Flower market in the old town of Kunming .visit Bamboo Temple with 500 arhat statues which were build in Qing Dynasty.Night in Camellai hotel**.
Day 2 :Kunming-Shiling- Tonghai ( B.L.D.)
Drive to visit the Stone forest. Geological activity, about 250 million years
ago, created these limestone features and with subsequent erosion, they take on a surreal form.. then of Lunan old city in the end of afternoon . Transfer Lunan to Tonghai , Night in Tongyun Hotel **.
Day 3. Tonghai-Jianshui ( B.L.D.)
Visit Xinming Mongol villages .By road to Jianshui . Discovery of
Jianshui old city . Visits Confucian temple in Jianshui, the second largest temple in China .The traditional architecture --named Zhang Garden , visit the stinky Doufu ( Beancurd ) mill . Tuanshan Village .Night in Lin`an hotel **.
Day 4. Jianshui - Yuanyang - 112 Km ( B.L.D.)
-End of visits in Jianshui and road to Yuanyang 1700 m. Visit a market on the way to Yuanyang . Night in Yunti hotel*** in the old town .
Day 5. Yuanyang area ( B.L.D.)
Visit the most wonderful rice terraces in the Province (1900 m ), Visit a market . Afterwards transfer back to Qingkou Hani village (1900 m ), trekking from Qingkou to Shengcun Yi village about 3 or 5 hours . Night in Yunti hotel***.
Day 6. Yuanyang - Laomeng -68 Km -( B.L.D.)
Road from the old town of Yuanyang to Pengzhihua /Huangmaolin/Laomeng .Visit a market , discovering the Miao and Hani villages on the way . Night in Laomeng guest house .
Day 7. Jinping area ( B.L.D.)
Visit a local big minority market . Transfer to the Shilicun village to see the Indigo Yao . Night in Xilong hotel.**
Day 8. Departure ( B.L.)
Jinping –Adebo-Manhao- Hekou - 180 Km - ( B.L.) ( around 5 hours by car ) Visit the Red Head Yao and the rice terraces on the way . Cross the bridge to Lao Cai after the lunch .
