Yunnan Minority Village, situated in the South suburbs of Kunming city, about 8 kilometers from the downtown, is a place where you can see different minorities in just one locality.
It is planned to build a village for each of the 26 nationalities in Yunnan, and presently more than half of them have been completed. Those completed include Dai, Bai, Yi, Naxi, Wa, Zang, Jinuo, Lahu, Bulang, Hani, De’ang, Jingpo, etc.. and there is a unity square, a theatre for folk songs and dances, a museum for ethnic waxworks, restaurants for minority food and many other amenities.
Entrance fees would be 70 Yuan per capita. Public buses of No. 24, 44, 73 and 94 are running to and fro.
